Fleming Grabs Winter Feature!

Keenan Fleming has today had the perfect race meeting as he raced his way to three heat wins from three starts before grabbing the win in the feature event at Ellenbrook Speedway for the second round of the Choice Charter Services Wild and Wingless Winter Madness Development Series. Fleming, in the family owned Asteel Powdercoaters #26 machine, was all class throughout the day, leading all but two laps of racing throughout the entire days racing, going on to record a strong feature win. Nathan Chalmers impressed in his Speedcar debut, where despite missing the first heat in the Choice Charter Services, Telenta Motorsports #72, he made an impression, bringing the fight up to Dayne Kingshott (once again driving the immaculate McAllan Motorsports #11 entry) in the feature race for a number of laps. Chalmers would eventually be awarded second place in the feature after Kingshott, who had passed Chalmers after a good battle, ended up uncharacteristically spinning for the second time in the race, seeing the race declared one lap early. Shaun and Aaron North showed some form but mechanical issues would eventually force them to retire before the event was complete, while Bob Goddard got some good laps in his #25 machine before also missing the feature with gremlins. Glen Mears also fronted for the show but would only race in the opening heat. The third and final round of the Choice Charter Services Winter Series will be back at Ellenbrook Speedway on the 23rd of July. Release by DTN Media. Official Result Feature - 10 laps: 1. 26 Keenan Fleming, 2. 72 Nathan Chalmers. DNS: 23 Glen Mears, 25 Bob Goddard, 27 Shaun North, 89 Aaron North. DQ: 11 Dayne Kingshott.
